Abstract: The topic of this research is the impact of adult education on health literacy. This study aimed to investigate how adult education programs influence the health literacy levels of participants. The objectives were to assess the effectiveness of adult education in improving health knowledge, to evaluate the impact on participants' ability to make informed health decisions, and to identify specific educational strategies that enhance health literacy. A survey research design was utilized to gather data from adult learners participating in health education programs, as this approach provides a broad perspective on the impact of educational interventions. A sample size of 250 participants from various adult education programs was selected to ensure a diverse representation. The purposive sampling technique was used to focus on individuals enrolled in health-related adult education programs. The case study was conducted in Akwa Ibom, Nigeria, where health literacy programs were actively implemented. Findings revealed that adult education significantly improved health literacy, leading to better health knowledge and more informed health choices among participants. The study recommended enhancing health education curricula and increasing access to health literacy programs to further improve public health outcomes.
